Product description
The Beaucarnea Recurvata, commonly known as the ponytail palm or elephant foot plant, is a distinctive indoor plant with a swollen, bulb-shaped base and a slender trunk. From the top, long, narrow, dark green leaves arch gracefully outward in a flowing curl. The bulbous base is not merely decorative — it stores water, allowing the plant to tolerate dry conditions well. This plant comes in a basket and stands 25 cm tall with a pot diameter of 12 cm.
Use & position
The Beaucarnea Recurvata is well suited to business interiors where a striking, architectural accent is needed with minimal maintenance. It works particularly well in offices, reception areas, meeting rooms, hotel lobbies, and retail spaces. Place this plant in a light spot with indirect sunlight indoors; direct sun can scorch the leaves. If you are looking for similar easy-care indoor plants in baskets, consider the Yucca Elephantipes branched indoor plant in plant basket as a comparable option for bright interior spaces.
Care
This plant requires very little water. Allow the soil to dry out completely before watering, roughly once every two weeks. Because the base stores moisture, overwatering is a greater risk than underwatering, so err on the side of less. Position the plant in a bright indoor spot with indirect light to keep the foliage healthy and the growth steady.
