Product description
The Calathea Orbifolia is a striking indoor plant known for its large, rounded leaves in a silvery green colour with distinct lighter stripes. The leaves can reach up to 30 cm across and have a soft, velvety texture that adds a refined decorative quality to any interior. This plant does not flower indoors; its appeal comes entirely from its ornamental foliage. The Calathea Orbifolia stands 45 cm tall and comes in a 17 cm diameter pot.
Use & position
The Calathea Orbifolia is well suited to indoor environments where indirect light or partial shade is available. It thrives at a consistent room temperature between 18 and 24°C, making it a reliable choice for offices, meeting rooms, hotel lobbies, reception areas, and healthcare spaces. Keep it away from direct sunlight, as this can scorch the leaves. If you are looking for other indoor plants that work well in similar settings, the Dracaena Deremensis Lemon Lime indoor plant in basket is a practical alternative to consider.
Care
This plant prefers consistently moist soil, but standing water should be avoided at all times. Water regularly to keep the soil lightly moist, and reduce watering during winter while ensuring the soil never dries out completely. Place the plant in indirect light or partial shade and maintain a stable indoor temperature between 18 and 24°C for best results.
