About the Areca Palm

The Areca Palm, also called Gold Palm or Dypsis Lutescens, is one of the best-known and most popular tropical houseplants. The Areca originally comes from South-East Asia. Nowadays, the houseplant is perfectly suited to give your interior a real eye-catcher!

Care of the Areca Palm

The Areca likes light, but prefers not to be in full sun. Water the gold palm regularly to keep the soil moist. There should be no water in the pot, otherwise the roots may rot. Once in a while he likes to have the leaves misted. This does not necessarily has to be doneé but it ensures the preservation of beautiful leaves. It prevents insect infestation and keeps them looking fresh. The correct temperature for the Areca Palm is between 18 and 24 °C.
